To the ladies who did NOT try to get pregnant
I am freaking out about things that I might have eaten, used, taken, before I knew I was pregnant. I mean nothing terrible but I am still SO scared. I stepped on a nail probably 4 days after conception and got a tetanus shot and I JUST remembered I took Cipro for 5 days. Plus one xanex on my wedding day, a few claritan, and used retin A on my face. I am freaking out. I just read that cipro causes spina bifida, but the dr told me a lot of things that early don't affect the fetus because it has not yet implanted and it doesn't even have a bloodstream for things to infiltrate. Please tell me I shouldn't freak out about this. I could really use some hugs.

Re: To the ladies who did NOT try to get pregnant
Take a deep breath. It's OK. People don't always know and it's OK that we did the "things" that we do before we found out we were pregnant.
Listen to what the doctor said and believe in that. Have confidence in what he's told you. Don't get yourself scared. We have ALL been in your position.
It's going to be OK. As long as you acted pregnant the minute you found out, you're going to be ok

Re: To the ladies who did NOT try to get pregnant
I'm sure everything will be OK. With my 1st pg, I found out I was pg on a Monday. The entire weekend before I drank like a fish. I was also still taking my BCPs up until the morning that I found out I was pg. I had a healthy baby boy.

Try not to worry. I didn't know I was PG until I was 9 weeks along. I drank ALOT. My dr. said the baby should fine. I still hear this all the time: our mothers did lots worse during the entire PG and we were all fine. If your dr. is not worried, you should relax too.

I wouldn't make yourself crazy. The baby was probably barely even formed when you did/used those things. I'm sure that the baby will be fine.

Re: To the ladies who did NOT try to get pregnant
Very early in your pregnancy the baby isn't feeding off you yet, so you probably didn't do any harm. Try not to worry, just be more careful now that you know

sounds rather similar to my experience when i was pregnant with my daughter. don't sweat it! hey, most babies are conceived after anight of boozing anyways!

Re: To the ladies who did NOT try to get pregnant
Relax- it will be ok. Here is my story.
I had M/C in March so we were supposed to be waiting two months. Then we went to Vegas and we were not so careful after a few drinks. I was convinced there was no way I was preggo, it took 8 months the first time and we only slipped up that one night. It was also about 6 days before I ovulated(I was using the OPK's still).
So now I have oral surgery scheduled a couple of days before I was due to get AF. Took a test, negative so we go ahead. Anesthsia, vicoden, you name it I had it. Plus remember the week in Vegas and all of those drinks after I conceived. I FM'd Redstar( our resident expert on here a while ago) and she completely reassured me that the baby does not share your blood stream until 23-24 days after conception.
I had a CVS, due to age, and my level II and everything is FINE. She is doing great- I still worry about it sometimes but I think it will be fine.
And so will YOU!

Re: To the ladies who did NOT try to get pregnant
Ummm - I won't go into details, but lets say I had quite the party summer before finding out I was PG!
If my baby is born a complete deadhead and humming reggae, I wouldn't be surprised!!!

Re: To the ladies who did NOT try to get pregnant
I understand your worries, but it will be fine. My friend was 7 weeks pregnant before she knew........and that was around New Years Eve..........SHE DRANK ALOT! And a few days later was our friends 30th b/day and SHE DRANK ALOT! Her baby is healthy as a clam.......
Her doctor told her the same.......not to worry when you are that early.

Re: To the ladies who did NOT try to get pregnant
I had a honeymoon baby the first time. I was drinking, hot tubbing, in Jamaica (KWIM ) I also took Vicodin for my back. He is a perfectly healthy 3 year old. Don't worry

Re: To the ladies who did NOT try to get pregnant
I took aleve before I realized I was pregnant and they link that to cleft lip. So early on, the baby doesnt feed off of you so I dont think you have anything to worry about. I was nervous at first, but not anymore.
