Today is not my day... vent
From the moment I got out of bed this morning, things haven't been going exactly right...from not being able to get out of bed because of the piles of stuff on the floor in my bedroom that need to be put into storage, to not being able to iron a blouse this morning because of the boxes (half baby gifts, half more crap for storage) that occupy the space where I usually put my ironing board, to the $#@^&@* 20 minute train delay ONE STOP from my office that made me late for work, to the water I just spilled all over my desk...
effective January 1st my health insurance is changing. So there goes my pediatrician research (threw the whole list in the trash...all 20 pages of it). 
Never mind that I'm due to give birth January 20.
I really don't want to deal with this right now. Things are supposed to be winding down now, not getting crazier. 
Thanks for coming to my pity party.

so wait- they're changing your insurance and not telling you in advance, the changes to expect?
Like is the carrier changing, or the coverage? You should be able to get the details of the new coverage in advance, so you can at least pick your search back up. Maybe some of the Drs you already researched take this new insurance too!
Boo to your headache though.

Theresa, my shower is next weekend. But thanks for asking... those headaches have subsided for the moment.

We're switching insurance companies from Cigna to Empire Blue Cross. From what I know, this is probably better than what we had this year, it's just that we also switched last year and every now and then my doctor's office screws up and bills the wrong one...so this should be fun.
It's just that I'm trying to be organized and prepared, and I really think I'm holding up my end of the deal here, but the forces are working against me. If I was just lazy about everything I could have the same result with less stress.

one day at a time....at least that's what everyone keeps telling me! I am due on the same date in January as well and know EXACTLY what you mean. In fact I'm in the same boat with insurance. Maybe try looking at the providers of the new insurance and save your research since some may take your new insurance as well--I found that to be the situation in my case. Also, if you have boxes now, watch out , after your shower it can get crazy. I just had mine and enlisted three friends (and of course DH) to come to my house and put EVERYTHING away for me..I still have some boxes for the attic but let me tell you my house was full of gifts, glad everyone was so generous, but I would have been overwhelmed completely. Ask for help now, you'll be happy you did :) Feel better!! Tomorrow is a new day!

You are probably just feeling overwhelmed since you are down to the wire. Things will be great. You will get all of that stuff put away and everything will fall into place. After you see that baby, I swear, nothing else matters. it changes your outlook and you'll be so happy.

It's rainy and cold today. You're entitled to feel blah. But at least it's only a 3 day week (and day 1 is almost over)!!

DH has Cigna, I have Empire Blue Cross - you are better off. Empire has the largest network of doctors in the region. Don't throw out that research just yet!!!
