Best of luck today!

The doctor will most likely go through your history.

You will have an exam (sono, my RE took some culture swabs as well).

I had 18 vials of blood taken, DH had about 3 or 4.

DH was asked to make an appointment for his SA, he did not have to produce then.

HTH!

Re: today is the day

Dh is concerned since he worked all weekend and is exhausted that his bloods won't be up to par.

I said, well we always work a lot, we are tired most of the time, when is a good time?

Internal sono? Pap? I'm due for one since I bagged my appt with my gyn.

How long should the first visit be?

Re: today is the day

Not sure if being tired is going to affect his bloods. My RE does his consults obscenely early in the morning (talking, 6:00am - 8:00am!)

They had wanted to do a PAP but since I had already had one and my insurance will only cover one per year, I had to wait three months until January to have them do it. But they did request all my medical history from my OB/GYN prior to my appointment.

Our first visit was 3 1/2 hours, but that was 45 minutes with the doctor, a 30 minute meeting with my nurse who is assigned to me, then blood, then exam, then we had to meet with their financial department. That's just the process for my RE practice.

And yes... my husband was doing a countdown for me... he counted 18. They ran blood panels for everything under the sun

Re: today is the day

so if I have a 4:30 appt and I have another appt about 30 minutes away, should I reschedule the other appt?

Do you think it will be longer than an hour?

Maybe I should call them.

eta: i called and they said about an hour..if he's running on time I will be good but personally I think I should reschedule my 6.

When I had my consult at NSUH - that's all it was.
We just met with the doctor...came up with a plan and went from there.
I didn't have a sono or bloodwork until the start of my next cycle.
