Toddler eye exam?
So at my 3 year ols well check up, our Dr found astigmatism in her right eye and wants us to go see an ophthamologist. I called one and they said the have to dilate her eyes and she wont be able to see for 4-6 hours! Does this sound normal? Thanks

Toddler eye exam?
I've had my pupils dilated many times and you are still able to see, but things are a little blurry and distorted for a few hours until the drops wear off.

Re: Toddler eye exam?
my eye dr doesnt do that. he told me his eye machine is very advanced and doesnt req it. I always hated that part of an eye exam.

Toddler eye exam?
DS has had his eyes dialated a few times now, and has never shown to have any issues afterwards. They can see, but it may be a bit blurry for a bit.
Dialation is the only way for them to do a super thorough exam to completely diagnose what's going on and get a correct prescription.

Toddler eye exam?
DS sees eye dr. Since he is 2 and never had a problem with having. His eyes dialated. He can still see, but usually the vision is blurry. Some drs. have to put the drops in twice, while others just do it once.
