Toddler programs at Preschools
Does anyone know of a program that will accept a 2 year old? I have called a few and they have to be at least 2 years 4 months old to be in the toddler program.
I would like to have Hayley interact with kids her own age but I don't want a Mommy & Me or a Gymboree program.
Any suggestions? Thanks!!!
ETA: forgot to mention I am in Suffolk County, in Centereach.

I think Maplewood School does. (Wantagh Ave between Sunrise & Merrick Rd) But I thought they were expensive.
Nursery School rates: 2 days/week $340/month 3 days/week $475/month 5 days/week $595/month

Re: Toddler programs at Preschools
Do you have a Montessori near you? I plan to send DD when she is 22 months (their toddler program starts at 2 but will take a little younger)...

Re: Toddler programs at Preschools
I was just going to post the same question : ) Gavin, my 2 yr old, goes to Tutor Time 2 days a week-- but I am looking to get him into more of a preschool. I called a Montessori near me and they said he needed to be 3 and potty trained. I wish I could help more.

Re: Toddler programs at Preschools
i just enrolled Bella who will be 2 in sept in a 2 year old program, an hour and a half 2 days a week (for the first few weeks she is only going once a week because we are in mommy and me) its $65 a month for one day or $125 for 2 days a week. I think its a little far for you to drive since you live in centereach, the preschool is in West babylon. If you have a YMCA near you check out their programs for 2's, you can also google search preschools in your area. Hope this helps, good luck!

Tracey,
Jenna is enrolled in a pre-school program at the Childbearing Family Alliance in Smithtown. It is one day a week for 2 hours. Here is the website:

Isn't that more of a daycare center? I am not looking to put her in every day, just a day or 2 a week for an hour or 2.

Re: Toddler programs at Preschools
My older son went to North Shore Montessori in Stony Brook at 2 years old.
My younger son will go to another Montessori school located in Smithtown in September. He is 2.
Other schools I know of that have 2 year old programs are:
Lilliput Nursery School in Commack (my son went there for the 3 year old class. We LOVED it!)
The Laurel Hill School in Setauket All About Me Preschool in Selden Miss Mella's Footsteps to Learning in Coram

Re: Toddler programs at Preschools
The montessori I am sending my DD to starts at 18 months!!
Most temple/jcc programs start at 2 - and they take any kids regardless of religion. Maybe catholic schools are the same?
