Toddler Stitches - Experience with Scars? (and unrelated play kitchen show-off) With Pic
Over the holiday my 18 m/o DD fell face first into the stone hearth of my parents' fireplace and ended up with 5 or 6 stitches, right between her eyebrows. We had a plastic surgeon do it, and he used dissolvable stitches but I'm very worried that she'll have this scar in such a prominent place on her face for the rest of her life.
Does anyone have any experience with scars and how to minimize their appearance?
Here's a pic so you can see the placement of the wound, and also the amazing play kitchen my dad made her for Christmas! I'm so proud of him, she loves it! And fortunately I think WE were more traumatized by the whole ordeal than she was.

I always used Vitamin E once the stitches were gone. That kitchen is amazing.

The kitchen is awesome!!
As for the cut . . . I was bit by a dog before age 5 on the face (right over my eye). I have a scar, but you have to look to see it.
