Toddler Swim Lessons?
DD took Parent & Me Swim classes at SafeTSwim when she was about 9 months old. She's a water rat- loves the pool, ocean, even the bath!
She asked to take a swim class again. We live in Queens and I'm not finding anything for her age (she'll be 3 in April) that is solo lessons. She's almost able to swim on her own and tried all summer to do it.
Anyone have any rec's other than SafeTswim? In queens/Brooklyn/Nassau?
TIA

I was looking into the Long Island Swim School in Garden City for DS. Their website is longislandswimming.com.

Re: Toddler Swim Lessons?
Ds has been taking private swim lessons at Saf-t-swim since he turned two. We go to the one in Bellmore. He loves it and he's doing good but the pool is packed full other kids and instructors so they bump into each other and the kids have a hard time paying attention with so much stuff going on around them. This one time I went and the instructors were talking to each other in the pool during the lesson. I was pissed, this stuff is expensive. That was during the summer, dh said it has gotten better since the school year started. He goes around the time school gets out so its not as crowded. I think when he turns three I am going to switch him to World Gym in Wantagh. They offer private lessons where your kid is the only one in the pool with instructor...not one on one in the pool with a bunch of other one on ones in the pool like saf-t-swim. They only take three and up that's why we didn't start there. They also follow the Red Cross teaching method, I've heard great things. We have a boat so it's really important to me for my kids to learn how to be strong swimmers.
