Toddlers & christmas trees
We usually get a real tree..With a very active toddler this makes me nervous..ie. a real tree falling on top of dc. Am I being crazy? Thanks

Re: Toddlers & christmas trees
I dont have a real tree, but I can honestly say that my DD (who will turn 2 next month) hardly ever touches the tree. she might touch some ornaments but thats it. She is really good with it.
I did tell her that the Santa likes a pretty tree so dont touch it. Not sure if she understood that or if she just really doesnt have any interest.

Re: Toddlers & christmas trees
My youngest is 13 months and has not gone near the christmas tree.
We have a pre lit tree - pretty tall - and I had the same worries as you - but she has not gone near it at all.
i like the real trees but didn't want to deal with the clean up it requires this year especially with the little one - but one year we will get one.

Re: Toddlers & christmas trees
We have a gate that keeps DD away from the tree. I've had kiddies in our family pull their tree down and I have that memory which keeps me from letting DD get too close to it
