Toddlers and Nosebleeds
Anyone's toddler get nosebleeds? My DD has had a couple in the past few days. She's been sick so I'm sure it has something to do with constantly rubbing her nose... I wanted to put in the saline drops but she won't let me anywhere near her with them. Any suggestions?

Re: Toddlers and Nosebleeds
At this time of year it's probably a combination of things...The cold, the rubbing, and the dry air.
Try putting a cool mist vaporizer in her room at night...that should help.

Re: Toddlers and Nosebleeds
My boy had them bad (blood just pour out). Use humidifier at night and try to put Vaseline or Bacitracin on the outside of her nostrals ( I know its odd but works). My son when get nose bleeds when the air was dry or getting over a cold. Good Luck.

Re: Toddlers and Nosebleeds
Nicholas started getting nosebleeds as a toddler. He still gets them when it's very dry or very hot and humid. We had some blood work done a couple of years ago and it turns out he has a clotting disorder, Factor VII deficiency. So if it persists after trying the things the above posters mentioned, I would talk to the ped. about it.

Re: Toddlers and Nosebleeds
The one time he got a nosebleed I took him to the pedi and he had an ear infection. But this was bad - it was all over his crib sheets. Some amoxicillin cleared it up.
