Toe nails done while PG?

Ok, I have only had one pedicure done in my whole life and that was on my wedding day. LOL!

I REALLY need my toe nails painted, but don't want a whole pedicure done. I didn't like the water bath, massage, etc. It was SO WEIRD to me. Anyway, am I able to go somewhere just to have them painted? I wear sandals and I took off the remainder polish that was there since I can't reach my toes anymore. So now, my toes look naked to me!

Also, is it ok to have a pedicure done while PG? I thought I heard you're not suppose to because it can cause labor? Maybe I heard wrong? Thanks!

Go to your local nail salon and ask them just to paint your toes, nothing else. I am sure they will do it, they will do anything for business! I have requested some weird stuff in the past lol

Supposedly the massage part is supposed to cause contractions. I think if they massage the ankle ... but honestly it doesnt stop me from getting pedicures and massages! and since you just want the paint you have nothing to worry about!

You can get it done. Just tell them you're PG and to either skip the massage or to skip your ankles during the massage. It'll be fine.

I hate getting mine down down here in NC because it's SO expensive compared to in NY. 2x the price of what I used to pay in Brooklyn. I just do them myself for now while I still can. I've got it down to a science.

I offered to do my preggo friend's toes the other day... want me to come by some time this week or meet you somewhere to do yours? I don't mind at all and I have lots of fun colors to choose from.

Oh, I've never heard of a place that does the nails without the whole soaking / scrubbing / etc process.

Sure... they will paint them for you at a salon.

I just did mine myself (I don't go to salons due to infectious issues... I catch infections easily from pedicures & after 3... I paint my nails myself) and ended up getting polish over the side of my foot.

I'm 35w4d and still do my toes at home to save $$. You just need to be strategic...

You can still get them done, maybe just tell them to skip the massage. I still get mine done occasionally and sometimes I let them massage but I guess it is not a good idea because it might cause contractions.

I get a pedi just about every 2 weeks or so.

If you're just getting a polish change you have nothing to worry about.
