Toilet Bowl Handle
How hard do you think it is to replace the handle with the assembly that does the flushing..the plastic broke, so the toilet can still flush but you have to stick your hand in the tank...
I want to do this tonight but I've never done it before.

very easy... I did it in less than 10 minutes for the first time. The hardest part was bending the plastic (you'll see what I mean)
The instructions on the packet were super easy to follow

Quick stop at HomeDepot, and 5-10 minutes in the bathroom. Very simple. I've replaced several. They're cheap enough that sometimes I replace them to coordinate with the bathroom better. One bathroom we have has mostly brass fixtures, so I bought a brass handle so it matches.

I hope I can do it. My parents and brother are coming on Thursday and none of them can go upstairs to the bathroom! Especially my brother!

We had to do it a couple weekends ago and it wasn't bad at all. We did have to adjust the chain a couple times to avoid "phantom flushing."

Its easy. I replaced ours with a new unit from home depot that goes with the rest of the bathroom...It has an antique look to it
