Tom Brady: 'Back to Drawing Board' for Baby Name
When it comes to picking out a name for their week-old baby, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are still huddling.
The couple had already settled on a name months before Bündchen, 29, gave birth to a boy last Tuesday, but then she had a change of heart.
"It's kind of back to the drawing board," Brady, 32, said in an interview on WEEI Sports Radio. "We thought we had a name picked out for about six months and then about two days before he was born she said, 'I don't like that name anymore.'"
And Brady, who quickly returned to work as quarterback of the New England Patriots, says the couple will need more than the little time they can currently scrape together to have a serious discussion about the matter.
"She makes all these decisions," Brady joked, adding, "I haven't been home all week. We have about seven or eight choices. I have got to be home for more than just two-three hours so we can talk about it."
His only condition? "It will probably be a traditional [name]," he says. And though he doesn't mind choosing a Brazilian name, in honor of his wife's heritage, "I certainly want a name that I can pronounce!"

Seriously, you can't come up with a name??? Just pick a name! Or make one up! They can't discuss it on the phone? They didn't talk about it before the baby came, regardless of gender?

I feel like this will be DH and I in a few months!  We still have 4 months to decide, but we can't come up with any names!

I don't have kids, but I thought you couldn't leave the hospital without a name on the birth certificate???

He said Giselle decided a few days prior to baby's birth that she didnt like the name they had picked out.....
you just had a baby, dont you think that it would be a priority to choose a name?

My 2 dogs were nameless for 2 days. Everybody was laughing at us.
I can't imagine not having a name for the baby when the baby leaves the hospital.

Folks, my daugter almost left the hospital without a name. Its a tough decision. I can see it.
My SIL didn't have a name for 8 days. Then they let DH pick it

I didn't have a name for the first week of my life. My mom had 3 girl names picked out then decided she hated them all when I was born, crazy women and their hormones!

This is interesting because I just got my hospital pre-registration paperwork for my delivery and it states that I cannot leave without filling out the paperwork for the baby's birth certificate (including name). Maybe that's just for NYC hospitals? It does make mention that the department of whatever requires them to have this within 48 hours of birth.

Not anymore you can't.
It is now considered a Homeland Security issue and all children must be named, have their birth certificate and social security forms filled out and given to the hospital.
