Hmmm, well most vets have the little treat things you can put pills in, or if it if a tablet you can try crushing it between two teaspoons and mixing it in food, or if he likes cheese squish it into a little bit of cheese and just pray he doesn't spit it out. If all else fails ask the vet if they do it transdermal - they put it into a cream form and you just wipe a bit on the inside of the ear. One of mine takes tablets really easy the other one we always get the tansdermal. If it is liquid, good luck, that is a two man job however you do it  Try mixing liquid into food? If it smells too strong he probably won't eat it.
it's liquid- 2 people aren't enough and my DH weights 270lbs...I am going to call the vet now- this is not going to work and I don't want him to get an infection

What form is his medicine in? Is it a liquid or a pill?
We had to give our cat medicine with an eyedropper. One of us would hold him by his neck and try to open his mouth, the other would drop the medicine in his mouth.
We had to do this when he was a kitten, so sometimes he'd squirm a lot, other times he thought it was a game. Silly kitty.

we have a dropper- I managed to get 75% of it in his mouth this morning- before he broke free- it was not fun
he bite thru Jake's nail- he was not having it!

We used to have to give Charlie liquid benadryl when he was a puppy and there is this thing that it comes with that squirts it into their mouth. We would do it really fast. DH would hold his mouth open and I would shoot it in there.
Maybe trying that would work since its quicker than a dropper?

I called the Vet- they suggested wrapping him like a baby
and sticking it on the side of his mouth
so we will try this tonight
I really don't want him to get an infection!

Glad to hear your baby is home. DH gives Jamine treats by mouth then stoking under her chin. Maybe this will work for you too??

little update- we got the medicine down - by wrapping him in a blanket and shooting it down his throat with a different dropper (the one that the pain meds came in)
he is doing really good- except his bandages came off- he was freaking eating them! I was chasing him around to get it out of his mouth - so we changed the wrapping yesterday
he is going to the vet today for a check up- I hope he can take the wrap off- the kitten thinks it's a toy
