Tonight..
I start stimming. I will be at my in-laws so I have to bring everything with me. Any advice from the experts out there. Am I going to feel sick or anything?
Happy Holidays to all!!!

Re: Tonight..
yes I have been giving myself the injections so far and I am really doing OK with them. The stimming injections are also sub cutaneous. It is the IM ones later on that freak me out.

Well, have DH do it. I know, I was the same way, after seeing the size of those needles After a few days, it will be such a routine and they do get better each day.

Re: Tonight..
Ok I am trying to get everything together and now I have another question. I have had my meds refridgerated and the folistim instructions say make sure it is room temperature before administering. What did you all do?

Re: Tonight..
I would just take out the follistim about 20 minutes or so before injection. Then i would put it back in the refrigeratior. The follistim pen is very easy to use.
Good luck.

yeah they all said that I could keep them room temp or refrdgerated until opened. But I was told they would last longer in the fridge so I did that.
Its also good to know that I dont have to wiat till exactly room temp so shoot it.

Re: Tonight..
OK, the Folistim was fine but the menopur hurt like a beatch. Of course I was in the bathroom and it was so hot I thought I might pass out. Please tell me either, it hurts less the next time, I did something wrong, or you know of some other way to do it. That was not fun!!!!

Did it sting? If so, you need to make sure that none of the liquid has dripped out onto the needle head. That makes it sting like holy h ell!!!! Also, let the shot sit for 5-10 minutes after mixing it, that really helps a lot!

Re: Tonight..
It did sting but it wasnt the injection that hurt. It was (I think) the volume of stuff injected. The more that went in the more it hurt. Maybe I pushed it too fast. Tomorrow I will let it sit like you mention. Of course I wont be in my own home either which stinks. OK, I better get off my BIL computer now before they all REALLY start talking about me.

Re: Tonight..
Day 2 was so much better. Funny thing is teh folistim hurtmore this time.
Lisa- thanks for the tip. I let the Menopur sit a little bit and it hurt so much less.
I also made DH massage my back at the same time so I think this helped too...and if not I got a feee back rub!!!

Pauline - I'm so happy to hear that you started stimming!!
I'm sorry they hurt but they do get better. Def. leave it out for about 20 mins before injecting. Also for me the menopur hurt more than the follistim. Good luck and tons of baby dust!!!
