TONS of house pics!
Let me just say that 2 and a half months later, my freaking bathroom is still not done But it will hopefully be done this week and we'll HOPEFULLY be moving in next weekend. FINALLY
But it's a good thing we don't live there yet because man, it's been a helluva road getting it to even this point. I finally did the livingroom today. None of the trim is done yet because we're waiting until we get our floors in to do that. The stairs, well, ugg, they need to be stripped and sanded. And the floor in our bedroom, I finally found something to strip the finish, but not the color because I wanted an old, beat up kind of look. Anyway, here's tons of pics of our work so far:

Livingroom finally painted (I cannot tell you what we had to do to these wallst prep them for paint )
Don't mind the Dora table cloth, it was for Ava's bday the other day
Ok, now I have a question: should I paint the stairs all white, or do the kickplate white and the actual stair refinished hardwoor?

And this is the test area of our bedroom floor. I just love the old, beat-up look,but the floors were covered in layers of polyurethene. I bought this great paste that took it right off!

I would have the stairs done in hardwood, not white.
Looking good!! I hear ya on the walls...we had to get ours skimcoated because they previous owners were friggen animals and covered holes in the walls with wallpaper.

WOW lots of work. Where is this house? Is it a Dutch Colonial?
As far as the stairs go I would do the hardwood

Ah I love Dutch Colonials. We almost bought one before we bought our Levitt Cape.

everything looks great! i just purchased a house as well and i can tell by looking at your pictures how much work it's been for you. great job! i hope you get to move in soon and enjoy it!

Looks awsome! I would do the stairs in hardwood also...I love the old distressed harwood look also...it make it feel like it has a story
