Too early for flutters??
Last night, I was tossing and turning for a number of reasons (mainly because we have one neighbor who has "date night" every other saturday and it's a marathon of loud animalistic-like sex and it's so loud, it resounds throughout our whole condo) but in the midst of my tossing, I noticed every time I switched lying from one side to another- I'd get a little buzzing sensation below my belly button. It kept causing me to jump. Could this be a little movement happening?? I'm 13 weeks today (although baby is a week ahead of schedule growth wise).

Re: Too early for flutters??
Its possible! One girl at work felt her baby at 12 weeks and another at 14 weeks. On another pregnancy board I belong to many of the girls due in May have already felt their babies. I haven't yet though.

I feel the baby moving frequently, a little flutter inside, and then an hour or so later feel the same thing on the other side...I thought I was crazy at first but I think its def the baby
Congrats on feeling your little one!

Re: Too early for flutters??
It probably could be. I've read that the baby isn't strong enough or big enough for you to feel through the amniotic fluid until 16 weeks at the earliest. My guess is that there are lots of weird twinges and pulls from all that is going on inside. I think we want to feel something so bad that we imagine everything is the baby. Physically I don't think its possible yet though.

Re: Too early for flutters??
I'm sure thats the baby, this is my 2nd pregnancy so I have felt the baby move much earlier, but I feel little movements and kicks every once in a while.

Re: Too early for flutters??
I felt Kiera at 12 weeks and this one between 11 and 12 weeks. They say you don't normally feel the baby until about 14 weeks, but I think they do that just so that people don't panic if they don't feel the baby as early as 11 weeks. Before 14 weeks is not common but it can happen.

Re: Too early for flutters??
I got my 13 week email today and peeked ahead at Week 14, they talked about the baby moving and kicking...
Swimming, tumbling around in that nice warm amniotic fluid, waving his little arms and playing with his tiny fists, kicking and stretching, yawning and sucking on his thumb, your baby is keeping busy. As long as he's not asleep, that is, because he sleeps most of the time. Did you know that he can move his fingers independently of each other already, because his webbing has disappeared? Too bad you can't feel that at all, because he's only about 3 inches (8,5 centimeters) long and weighs a mere 2 ounces (60 grams).
And Week 13 said this about the feelings we have at this point in the pregnancy...
Sometimes during the little one's growth spurts, your organs - such as your stomach, liver, pancreas and gall bladder - literally have to make way for your rising uterus. Your uterus is a hollow, muscular organ that always has a certain amount of tension and responds to its surroundings, such as during an ******. Now that there's a baby growing inside you, your uterus can harden or tighten briefly during such a growth spurt or when you're doing familiar activities or having an ******. That's all normal. You may feel it more often when you're stressed or have a full bladder. These mild uterine contractions are good for the baby -- it feels like a kind of hug, a sign that his mother is there for him.
