Too early for mums?

I want to start to decorate for fall but I am afraid to get mums since it is still so hot out? Do you think they will be ok as long as I water them each day?

Re: Too early for mums?

They'll survive. I received mums at Easter and subplanted them over the summer in my garden and they have the blooms on them now, but none of them have opened yet. It's actually grown larger since we subplanted it.

Funny, I was going to ask if it was too late for mums! My mother planted hers the last week of August.
