Too hot to take newborn for a walk?

Do you think it's too hot to take my 1 1/2 week old for a walk?

not at all! My DS is 3 1/2 weeks old and i've taken him for walks a lot. Just put him in a onesie and nothing else and go for it!

I don't think so. There's a nice breeze by my house so it doesn't feel hot at all. Once everyone wakes up over here we'll be outside.

Nope. I plan on taking DS for a walk once he wakes up from his nap.

Not at all.... just be mindful of the wind - that's the one thing that I am always careful with. Even at 5.5 months old.... it still takes Kristina's breath away.

Re: Too hot to take newborn for a walk?

ughhh, i had this problem last summer when DS was newborn....no, i don't think it is too hot...just dress him in loose cotton (like a onesie). Problem for me was that my son gets terrible prickly heat. He still does. And everytime I'd take hime outside he'd break out. So I did wind up staying inside a lot in the middle of the day when the sun was blazing and then getting outside around this time and early evening as it cooled a little.

Thanks! I will probably wait until it cools off a little bit later on and go with the whole family after dinner when DH is here to assist.Chat Icon

i dont think so.. i live in south florida and its always in the high 80's even early in the morning and I take my DD out for a walk in just her onesie..I dont go for a really long walk since its so humid, but we go for maybe a 10-15 min. walk. Chat Icon
