Too Much Pasta?

So, I attempted to make lasagna tonight for the first time. I boiled a pound of lasagna, only to find I only needed half of it. What can I do with the rest? Can I freeze it? Is it just garbage now?

Im going to assume that you dont have any ricotta left...hmmmmm

Maybe just cut it down into noodle sizes and make a pasta salad out of what you have on hand...or maybe a tuna noodle casserole?

Pasta is in general pretty versatile.

OHHH..maybe a noodle pudding?

Re: Too Much Pasta?

Thank you - those are good ideas. I think I will cut it and save it for a pasta salad.

Next time try the Barilla no boil noodles. I love them. I follow the recipe on the back of the box and use homemade sauce & it always comes out great. There are just enough noodles for one lasagna.

I'll have to do that, boiling them was a pain! And then I left the noodles out overnight by mistake, I just dumped them:(

Re: Too Much Pasta?

make lasagna rolls with the lest over noodles and ricotta. Pour some sauce on top and freeze, then defrost and heat for another night.
