Took our first trip to the ER last night
DD woke up around 12:30 and just wouldn't settle back down. She usually wakes once during the night and puts herself back to sleep within 5 minutes. Last night, something wasn't right. I went in there and she had a TERRIBLE barking cough and couldn't draw in a full breath. I completely panicked.
We took her to the ER and they told us she has croup. I had a sneaking suspicion that's what it was, but it scared the crap out of me that she couldn't breathe comfortably 
After a nebulizer treatment and a steroid shot, we got home around 3am...and she was up at her usual 7 am 
REALLY scary stuff.

I'm sorry, that sounds awful. We had a rough night here, too, last night. I used to get the croup all the time when I was a kid, so i know how yucky it is. Hang in there!
