Toothpaste on zits?
I've put toothpaste (plain, paste kind) on zits for years, and it works. As I've complained about on here, my skin is HORRIBLE, big zits everywhere, and I've been dotting my face with toothpaste night after night since I can't use my Proactiv cream now.
This can't be bad for the baby, right? I never asked the doctor, but it's toothpaste? How bad could it be?

Re: Toothpaste on zits?
Why cant you use Proactive? My doc told me theres no links of benzrol peroxide to birth defects. I used bperoxide all thru my pregnancy. i was told its the only type of acne med that hasnt been linked to birth defects. All docs have their opions tho.
But about toothpaste. I dont know if its safe or not. The only thing that makes me think it may not be is on the tube it says something about not digesting! And putting it on an open zit is kinda like digesting it cuz it still goes into the body but thru the blood stream. I would definatly ask your doctor!!

There are conflicting ideas on using Proactiv. My Dr. said he'd recommend not using it, although he said there's research out there that shows there's no risks from using it, but that there's not enough research. I chose not to use it, and you can tell by my skin
Yeah, I don't know about the toothpaste, but I've been using it for a while, so I hope it's safe!! I'll ask the doc though I guess, but it's kind of too late!
