This is actually a more complete list -http://nymag.com/bestdoctors/ It is the Best Drs in NY (in NY magazine). It is more extensive than the one posted above in Newsday.
In addition to picking out a dr on that list - make sure you check them out in http://www.nydoctorprofile.com/search_parameters.jsp They best dr lists - don't take into account if the doctors have been sued a lot though. Which is why it is good to check them out on the above link when you find someone on the best drs list you are interested (although a dr can have multiple open suits and claims keep in mind that they won't appear on NY dr profile for sometimes quite a while after a settlement or a plaintiff verdict - so you can't totally rely on it.
