Wow that's kind of sad. They've been around since 1940 and are still family owned an operated. It's rare to find a business like that in this day and age.

aww---that sux for them. but i have to admit, my family always bought tops burgers---and this summer whenever we ate them at bbqs (we have them like everyday in the summer), something just didn't taste right! like the meat seemed old and had a funny taste. finally we stopped buying them. then all this info came out about the recall!

It sucks that the company has been around so long and must close now. I just threw out a box of topps burgers that were in the back of our freezer.

I was in Stop and Shop today and there was a sign on the freezer door saying all of the products have been pulled due to E. Coli and anyone who may have purchased with xxx date should dispose of immediately.
