totally TMI, but I have to ask anyway
So we've all heard that sex can help bring on labor, but I recently heard a couple people mention that it was the sperm that helps move things along. Well DH has been against "doing his business" inside of me since I got pregnant and always pulls out. Do I need to push him to do it so that I can speed things along, or do you think the actual act of having sex is enough?

Yup, there is a chemical that is supposed to help it. Just you get on top and don't let him up

My doctor told us that it can ripen the cervix.
Now that she said that, DH is afraid of moving things along too much

Yeah, the sperm has something in it that is also in the drug they give you when they want to induce labor.

Prostaglandin in sperm can cause the uterus to contract, thus bringing on labor.
