Re: toting dogs spin
for me no. I know some people can be really dirty and stinky but as much as I am an animal lover I dont think they belong in the stores b/c we dont know if they are groomed regularly, if they are up to date with thier shots. dogs can get viscious out of nowhere too.

Re: toting dogs spin
I don't think that dogs should be taken all over the place, there is a place and time for everything.

I've had patients that brought their dog to our dental office and were insulted when we told them the dog had to go ........ Hello it's a health establishment!
I would love to walk into a store with my 75lb bulldog and scare the $hit out of people...

Re: toting dogs spin
Absolutely not. I have three dogs and love them to pieces and, even if they were small, I would never bring them to any store. Stores were not made for dogs; they were made for people. Even places like Petco, which for some inexplicable reason allows customers to walk their dogs through the store, shouldn't allow it. You think they would change their policy since, very recently, a child was bitten by a dog in one of their stores. IMO it's just idiotic.

Re: toting dogs spin
still not appropriate. Some people are terrified of dogs. Nevermind the fact that the dog could still bite someone, have an accident, or bite/tear at things.

Re: toting dogs spin
For me, it's not even a question of it being appropriate or not, it's the question of WHY? WHY bring your pet everywhere? I've seen them in the supermarket, mall, everywhere. WHY WHY WHY?

Re: toting dogs spin
as much as it is gross and potential germs, littel tiny doggies in a store like target or something- would not bother me in the least bit
and the only reason why it woundt bother me, is because, if i had a little cutie doggie like that, id want to tote it around too

Re: toting dogs spin
If I can't bring my Lab - who has never growled in his life - then I don't think other dogs should be allowed just because theya re small. Sometimes smaller dogs are meaner.
But I think dogs should be allowed lots of places that they aren't so...

Re: toting dogs spin
I saw a dog walking through Nordstrom the other day and I was like "huh?" He was a little thing on a leash and he was just strutting down the aisle with his owner. It just seemed so unnecessary, cute little thing, but if we all brought our dogs imagine what the clothes would look like.

Re: toting dogs spin
Nope. It's a dog, not a child. This is coming from someone who would love to bring her cat everywhere, but doesn't because well, he's a pet after all.
