Places to visit in upstate NYC
like the catskills area...
any ideas? Maybe for a weekend? I would like to see the foliage and maybe visit a historical site...

Not in the Catskills, but in the Adirondacks.....Saratoga!!!!
Love it there. There's so much history, museums, beautiful foliage and great food and hotels. It's a really nice, upscale type city and great in the fall, all the tourists leave!!!

Warwick, NY in Orange County...
Home of the last drive in movie theater in NYS!
DH and I stayed here and LOVED it! You can take your dog here too!

I second Saratoga - I did my student teaching there and it was an awesome area! I was there in the spring and not the fall, but I am sure it is just as beautiful then, if not more so!
