counting kicks...
i read in one of my pregnancy books that one should "count kicks" and report to the OB if the little one kicks less than 10 times within a 2 hour period.
my little one can be very active one day and totally lethargic another. i'm in my 26th week and don't think i could count 10 kicks at every 2 hour interval. she's more active at night and sometimes in the morning. during the day it seems like she's taking a really long nap!
how frequent are your kicks, and do you count them? at what week did/do you start doing this?

Re: counting kicks...
I just read this last night, I don't think it is for this early in pregnancy, I think it is in a couple of more weeks. Right now, my baby can be active in the morning one day then at night another day. So I it would be hard right now to say.

I'm in my 26th week too. I asked my doctor about this and he said that I didn't have to worry about this yet. I go back in two weeks, I'll probably ask again then. But my baby is so much more active at nght.

Re: counting kicks...
I have two healthy little girls, 18 months and 2 weeks....i never ever counted a kick and they were both fine!! I think sometimes you can make yourself crazy with all the different things you can worry about!

Re: counting kicks...
I'm almost 40 weeks and my doctors never had me do kick counts. even at this point in my pregnancy there are still times of the day where i don't feel him moving at all. all through out my pregnancy he has had his quiet and active times. I never really understood how you were supposed to do kick counts for just that reason. But, I know I can always count on him kicking me when I get into bed to go to sleep!

Re: counting kicks...
38 weeks here are we weren't told to count kicks. Midwife said so long as we feel her moving daily it's ok!

this is exactly me and i'm one week behind you. as long as i feel him multiple times throughout the day, i don't worry, as i get further along, i'll monitor more closely.
