Home Alarm/Security Systems
I am looking for an idea of how much an installation of a home security system will be. I am looking to alarm three outer doors, and windows on the first floor (approx. 12). Could anyone tell me how much they paid for a similar install? Also, should I alarm the second floor windows? Is this typical? Thank you!

we have slomins, i think a brand new alarm installatino is about $800 i think, it was already here when we bought the house, we have all windows and doors on the bottom floor done, we only have one window upstairs becuase it's over a garage and it can be accesable for someone to climb up and into the window.

I have slomin's as well, It was only about $200 or so to install, had the special and I believe something was free.. sorry.. lol and then I pay a monitoring fee for like every 3 months or so, if I'm not mistaken.. I have 2 doors on the main floor and I have the motion sensor in the living room, nothing upstairs and I have 2 keypads... I wanted windows done, but they didn't think it was necessary since I have the motion sensor for the main floor. Hope this helps...

I think with Slomins you can get free installation if you sign up for a 5 year contract, and then its like $26 or so monthly.

prepare to pay 25-30 a month and 300-600 and higher for installation
i used standard security
