St. Charles Hospital....
My sister who had my neice 8 years ago is convinced that St. Charles hospital is not conducive for breast feeding. I really want to have my baby there. Has anyone else heard this?

I have not heard of this...one of my close friends delivered there a few years ago and has done nothing but rave about that hospital.
(She also breast fed her baby).
When I see her next I'll ask her your specific question.

I had my daughter there 8 months ago, and I loved it there! If anything, they wanted me to breastfeed (which I decided not to), so I'd have to disagree.
They have lactation consultants there who are very, very helpful.

I agree...I also had my daughter there 7 months ago and they also wanted me to BF only. I chose to do both bottle and breast and they discourage the bottle...I had to sneak some from the nursery I have to say I had a great experience at St Charles

I just gave birth there on the 22nd of august. They are all for breast feeding. My daughter was in nicu and they made adjustments so i could breast feed my lttle girl. They are so helpful and resourcful when it comes to breast feeding. Best of luck and i am sure you will enjoy your stay.
