Re: I have a blackberry tree in the backyard
Is it a tree or a bush? I think blackberries grow on bushes.
ETA: Here's the Wikipedia definition with some pictures.

Might be an elderberry tree -- they look like blackberries. I had 1 they are really good. You can make pie. jelly put them on cereal.

Re: I have a blackberry tree in the backyard
oooh ooohh i grew up with a blackberry tree- use to eat them all the time--- just dont eat the stem part---
anyways- they were good for years- until they got buggy infested with tiny bugs-- when you pick them just make sure you wash them before you eat--
we also use to have a blueberry bush, and rasberry bushes that were VERY good

Re: I have a blackberry tree in the backyard
My neighbor has grape vines and they overhang my fence. We pick them...they are white grapes and fabulous. I plan on swapping with my newly sprouted tomatoes once they ripen.
