Town of Smithtown Mommies - BIG news!!!!!!!!!
Did you know we had a new sprinkler park?
Its at the Armory park in Nesconset!!!!! I go there ALL the time with Eddie since we can virtually walk to it and about a month ago they were digging up the part next to the playground. Then about 2 weeks ago they were pouring cement, but I didnt know what they were doing!
Well, we went tonight to go see the 80s cover band playing at the gazebo there and turns out THEY MADE IT A SPRINKLER PARK!!!!!!! Im so freaking excited!
Its only open to Smithtown Residents as you need a town sticker to get into the park! They put it a new picnic bench area with a covering. Its so nice!
Open daily from 12-5!!!!

No, you dont need a sticker, just your license as proof of residence if you dont have a sticker on your car.

I wonder how that will work when the library is opened. All cars have to be let through. KWIM? I was told is is just sprays not really fun toys and such like venetian and hoyt... what did you see OP? I wish we had one like the two others mentioned....

Its more just sprays and water towers, its very similar to the one at Hoyt Farm. Good question.....I know they only have the booth checking residency in the summer, I wonder. It would be MAYHEM if anyone could go bc its not that big of a park, at all.

I love that place though. The trail in the back is great for stroller walking and the kids to ride bikes. I am not a fan of the rubber in the playground but I am now excited to check out this waterpark. Maybe tomorrow : )

If you arent a resident you can always park in Nesconset Plaza and walk across Smithtown Blvd. Walk through the park...and up the walk to the sprinkler area...

DH and I were JUST saying that, LOL. Not that I dont want other mommies and kids to enjoy it, but its always so quiet there. There are always like 2 other kids on the playground, its going to be a madhouse now. Its just so tiny to begin with and the spray spark is about 1/2 the size of the one at Hoyt.

We lived within walking distance of it for TWO years before we figured out it was back there.
Its so nice, there are tennis courts, a hockey rink, a skate park, a track, athletic fields, the playground and now the sprinkler park.

I keep forgetting to post this. WE go to that park all of the time and yesterday we went to the splash part and met some friends (who don't live in Town of Smithtown) and they didn't check.
We had lots of fun! I was thinking the same thing that they may have to let everyone in because of the library. It is smaller than Hoyt Farm but it is nice and convenient for us.
