Toy Recommendations

I am a silly mom and just made an amazon.com/toysrus wish list for Emily for Christmas. I put on it a bunch of toys that I've seen that I think are good for her, books, CDs, DVDs, things like that. I'd like to add more to it but am looking for recommendations.

So I'm wondering what toys did your baby love around 3-9 months? She'll be almost 3 months at Christmas time.

Oooh great idea!! I'm going to do this too!!

I'm going to go look around and see if I can recommend anything but I'm interested to hear what the BTDT moms recommend.

I know I'll be looking at the Leap Frog stuff because my SIL loves them.

Re: Toy Recommendations

So far some of the toys I added are the discovery ball, discovery drum, learning tad doll, baby gymnastics play wall (that cool thing I saw on TV that the baby crawls through and it has windchimes and stuff), lamaze musical inchworm, lamaze multisensory clutch cube and TONS AND TONS of board books. I'm an early childhood teacher (teaching 1st this year but have taught pre-k, and kinder also) so I know all the great children's books!

I'm also thinking I should add some good tummytime toys there. She already has a gymni -- any other suggestions?

Re: Toy Recommendations

V-Tech has some great toys.... Nate loves the Brainy Baby series. They have two separate toys for left and right brain stimulation. These are 3+ months

DH just got him these today also made by V Tech. These are 6+ months

My mom also said that she got him a few things from Leap Frog. She didn't tell me what bc it's part of his Xmas gift.

Re: Toy Recommendations

Thanks Stephanie. I added the Left Brain ABC block toy to her wish list. I didn't see the Right Brain one on amazon.com. Have you found it there? I'm sure I can buy it at a store but I wanted to add it to the wish list.

Re: Toy Recommendations

OMG the blocks that you can see through, Peek a blocks!! .. we got a couple sets from relatives for the holidays, and my son is almost three and still plays with them!!!!! when they are little its the whole learning the textures and what each block does, and fine motor skills, and cause and effect.. Its AWESOME!!!!!!

As he got older it was great in teaching him, front, back, left right, up, down, animal names, shapes.. Oh I cant rave about it enough! He was about 7.5 months for his first xmas. HTH!!!!!

This is one type, but the same brand.. they have different themes!!
