toys for 1 yr olds
My DS is going to be 1 next month and everyone keeps asking me what to get him and I have no idea!!

I have a girl, but many of the toys she received for her first birthday were not gender specific.
She recieved the Baby Leapfrog System (which she didnt really get into until 18 months or so but now at 21 months, she loves it!), extra large duplo blocks, a radio flyer wagon (plastic), instrument set, simple chunky puzzles, DVD's (Sesame Street, Laurie Berkner, Wiggles, etc.), tons of books, and a crab sandbox for the backyard. She also received those beginner markers that Crayola makes, they are round and chunky so it is easier for the little ones to hold.

My sister just got this for my son (he just turned 1) he really likes it and there are 3 diff stages to it. You can play with just the top part or make it shorter on the stand or make it high for standing and playing.
