toys for 12-18 months old

I know this has been posted before, but I am interested in seeing what other people purchased for their 12-18 month olds so I can get some ideas. I have already purchased most of my DS's Christmas gifts, but my mom has not bought his gifts yet, and has been asking me what to get him.

TIA

My DD is 18 months & I am going to be getting her the doll that you can button, clip, tie shoes, etc. (she loves doing that stuff on her own clothes), the magnet alphabet letters and some interactive books for her to do herself.

My son is 16 mos old and basically loves anythign his 3.5 yr old brother has so it has been hard to get him gifts (not to mention we have everything from his brother).

From Santa
RF push car
shopping cart and play fruit
sesame street cars
diego plate and utensils
pull toy pluto
Parents animal hospital
new toothbrush
bubble machine
Little People Fire Engine
Pat Pat Rocket
Handy Manny Figures
I have to find one or two more things

from relatives
seesaw
cash register
horn
microphone
elmo laptop
FP Town (little people)
Little People Race Track
Geo Track train
Handy Manny Tools.

He also loves Thomas the train - I recommend them - a nice starter set(we already have tons). Also tools...Little Tikes makes a great workbench that grows with them. Both my boys use it. My son also really likes the Little People Farm House and an Old MacDonald Tractor. He likes tracks and matchbox cars too. And anything Mickey Mouse/Playhouse Disney. Books, books and more books.

Thank you so much. I know what you are saying about him hav9ng an older brother and it being difficult to get gifts because my DD is one month. I could see next Christmas being difficult because my DS has so many toys that my DD I ma sure will love.
