train ride to nowhere
i want to take DS on a train ride but not sure where to go....
i would love to get on the train, get off for lunch than get back on.
(we would be getting on in east northport - the port jeff line)

I would say get on at EN and take it to Stony Brook. I think you get off on the campus and there are a few small shops across the street to eat lunch and then go back.
Or what about Huntington?

huntington village is too far away to walk from the train station

That is kind of far with a small child!! Last July 4th Summer and I took the kids 1/2 down the hill and back up and it was HARD!
I'd do Port Jeff, but take a CAB to the harbor!
