Train Tables
I want to get one for Aidan for Christmas along with a wooden train set.
I thought I would just get Thomas, but now I see there are "others".
I think they are interchangable... anyone know?
I wouldn't mind getting a non-Thomas table and save a ton of $$ but get the Thomas set. They seem to have cool accessories.
There is a Train Table in BJ's (Battat?) right now that comes with 131 pieces! For $99.99! Seems like a great deal.
any input is appreciated.

I have seen the one from BJ's and think it is great!! I have the Thomas train table that I got DS for Christmas last year.. I just really loved the table and thought it was cute. If you really like the Thomas train table I see them on Craigslist occasionally.
If you don't have your heart set on the Thomas one, the others are JUST as good!!

We bought ours at Odd Job. They aren't all compatible you have to check to make sure the track has the same width as the Thomas Trains.

I just bought the step on train table . It is compatable with all train sets, matchbox cars. I also like it because the train tracks are permantly set in the table so he can't keep taking it apart.

THey also had one in Costco, but I am not sure fo the price or of the compatibility.

I don't know anything about the train tables b/c we have a GeoTrax set, but reading the "131 pieces" made me go   ! Maybe that's just b/c my 3 year old is a slob!

DO NOT get the actual "Thomas" train table.... it's really $$$$$$$ and you have to buy everything separate... we got the one from BJs and it came with tracks and ideas on how to lay out the track (we got tired of putting it back together so we hot glued it to the table ) it's great too because it has the buckets underneath it for storage.

I just spoke to DH. Our train table is yours if you want it. We have the tracks & little booths, etc. Also we have trains...Thomas Trains...
We're thinking this is the best way out of toy hell. Please help! Save us!

 Perfect! If you gave me a hard time about compensation I was going to just go ahead and do the donation Debg anyhow!
