Transfer Postponed to Possibly tomorrow or Freeze
What a roller coaster!!
Thursday 3/17-3/18: Retrieved 16 eggs, 13 Matured and 12 fertilized no ICSI needed.
Day before retrieval I had some bleeding and the Dr was not to fond of that and said we may freeze to do FET next cycle, was bummed but will deal with whatever is best. No bleeding day of retrieval and on Dr saw fluid in tube which could of been the cause of bleeding but no blood in uterus.
Sunday they called to make a transfer appt for today which may be canceled depending on development.
Today the Dr calls me and my embryos are not blasts yet but the embryologist thinks by this afternoon, my transfer was canceled today. If they become full blasts the Dr. would like to freeze them. If they do not become blasts she will discuss fresh transfer for tomorrow I guess depending on quality?
I am so confused if they are not blasts yet then why transfer tomorrow? Waiting for Dr to call back but man this is so complex!

Are you dealing with MFI? Typically, when the embryo development slows after day 3, then it's due to sperm quality issues. We had that. On day 5, none of our embies were blasts. I transfered 2 anyway, but it was BFN.

No MFI, count and mobility motility was excellent.
Update: 5 embryos are now blasts RE wants to freeze them. She also wants to do a Biopsy of my uterus before going forward. Making sure results are normal, if not normal then whatever it is needs to be treated. I am so scared now.

Blasts are great!!!! Not every embryo can get to that stage.
I hope that your results come back normal. So sorry it's been a rollercoaster.

I'm glad they made it to blasts. Although it sucks getting answers about the uterus would be better instead of trying without answers.

Good you have 5 blasts. It stinks waiting but your RE is making you wait for a reason. They want everything perfect before transfer. Hang in there.
