Transfer Scheduled!!

I went in for bloodwork & U/S this AM, and got the call. All looks good, lining was at 9, type 2 (not really sure what that means, and forgot to ask )

Transfer Scheduled: 11/9

Meds:
Estrace 2 pills 2x a day
Baby Aspirin
1 Endometrin Suppository at night
Doxycycline
Medrol
PIO in the AM (every other day)

Any tips on PIO?

I did PIO last cycle (my fresh one and my butt is still sore), and will probably do it in a few days for this frozen one. I did the injections myself....it was more comfortable doing it standing up than laying down. Not thrilled that I have to do them again but if the end result is its worth it. Best of Luck

2. I AM SOOO EXCITED FOR YOU!! I feel like this went so fast, it helps so much that you didn't need to go on the pill first!! Ahhhhhhhh you BETTER be pregnant next week!!!

ETA: as for PIO, I ice it before we use it for like 5 mins..... just till its def numb. Then after, you should sit on a heating pad. It helps because otherwise the oil settles in the injection area and makes an uncomfortable/itchy/sore bump then next day. You may still get that anyway but the heating pad def helps!!!

Theresa: Can't believe it is still sore DH is going to be so dissapointed, when it comes time to DTD, no more of a certain position, that is for sure

Penny: It did go by fast, even Edwin was surprised. Thanks for the tip on the PIO, I am usually not a chicken for this stuff, but reading all of the posts about PIO has me a bit worried

I remember before I did PIO for the first time, I was afraid of 3 things..

The retrieval.. getting a bfp.. and PIO .. It was def up there on the top of my list! I can tell you (and I'm a HUGE baby) it's really not that bad!! Whatever you are imagining now in your head is worse than what it's actually like, I'm sure!!

YAY!!! So excited for you!!!

As far as the PIO goes, I take it at night, and I have a pretty strict routine. I ice the area for at least 10 minutes. While I'm doing this, DH puts the vial of PIO in hot water in a glass to make it more liquidy. He gives me the injection (which I never thought he'd be able to do), then massages the area to spread the PIO, and then I lay on the heating pad for at least 10 minutes. We do all of this while watching TV at night, so it has just become part of our routine.

The actual injection itself usually isn't so bad. Some spots are more painful than others, but it is worth it to have a baby. The biggest annoyance for me is that I often have a sore and/or itchy butt!
