Transferring Frozen Eggs to New Facility?
So I was wonderig if anyone would be able to help me. 4 years ago when I had IVF I had 9 eggs frozen. When I did this I was under a different insurance policy and my RE was In Network.
My insurance has now changed and he is no longer In Network and their Out of Network does not cover IVF/FET.
There are other great RE's covered under my insurance that I can switch to, however the facility where my eggs are stored only work with 5 RE's nationwide and the only one in NY is this out of network office.
Has anyone ever had to switch facilities where their eggs are stored in order to work with new doctor? I'm not sure how this works.
Thanks for any help!

Re: Transferring Frozen Eggs to New Facility?
I had to move my frozen embryos to a new facility this year, but not for insurance reasons. The process was some-what easy. I used a courrier service that specializes in this. I had to make sure my storage fees were all paid before the old RE office would release them, then I had the courrier service pick them up and deliver them to new RE office. It cost me about $350 for the service, sicne they need special tanks and stuff for the transport. Please feel free to FM me if you have any questions.
