Travel from JFK/Jet Blue -how are delays?
has anyone flown recently?
I remember them saying to expect delays because of the closing of one of the runways.
if you've flown recently how were the delays?
I'm going to fly with my 14 month old DS and trying to figure out flights.

I am sorry to say that I flew with jetBlue from JFK in March and had a HORRENDOUS experience. Not only the flight was 5 hours delayed and then, after they swore we will still be flying out soon, the flight got canceled, but the way the company handled the whole thing was unacceptable... I know I will not be flying with them again...

With one of the runways at JFK closed you are going to be seeing a lot of delays and not just on Jet Blue fights.

i just flew yesterday and last week, and my flights took off/returned on time..it was actually a lot better than the last few times i flew

I had the same experience and flew last week. We actually were early for both departing and landing!

my parents just flew in the last month twice with JetBlue and not once were they delayed. They only have been delayed I think 2 times since they started flying with JetBlue like 4 years ago.

Supposedly airlines cut back on flights since they're doing construction on this one runway. You can check the status of flights today to see what time the scheduled takeoff was and when it actually departed.

I've only been delayed with them due to weather or a groundhold which has NOTHING to do with them but the control tower at the destination airport.

Flew last week and we had no delays, and it was the day with lots of rain. It was fine, and as a matter of fact, DH flew a few days after us and his flight took off early

flew out wed night, 30 min delay but jetblue builds 30 min into their flying time so they improve their chances of being on time. not sure how they can get away with this! comming home we were supposed to land at 10:35 and actually landed at about 9:50. stupid when you tell your ride to be there at 10:30!!!!!!!!!
eta: when we flew down, because they inflate their flight time by 30 min, we arrived on time despite the delay

did you fly back from Tampa? we may have been on the same flight since that is the time we landed 
just wanted to report that we had no delays w/either flight.

How was the flight - we leave in May and it has been looking online like it has been pretty much on time...
BTW did you drive and park or take car service? If you parked how was that?

A lot of airlines do that in the NY area because of the volume of flights and the wait time to actually take off and the fact that sometimes you have to wait for your gate after you land.

How was the flight - we leave in May and it has been looking online like it has been pretty much on time...
BTW did you drive and park or take car service? If you parked how was that?
flight was fine, no delays either way. In fact the flight home landed 40 minutes earlier than expected.
I got dropped off at airport and picked up so I have no info about parking

but jetblue did not do this until recently.
