Travel question...on the plane
If you are traveling, and baby is too big for travel system, so you have stroller and carseat..do you have to check them in? If you did not purchase a seat for baby, can you wheel stroller on while DH carries carseat, then put them both in cabin storage?
Do they even have cabin storage? I see people wheeling strollers on the flight, so they must go somewhere.
TIA

Re: Travel question...on the plane
I would speak to your travel agent or the airline company itself.

Re: Travel question...on the plane
We check in our carseat, take the stroller on the jetway to the plane and they check it in for you. When you get off the plane the stroller is waiting for you on the jetway.

Re: Travel question...on the plane
When I have flown with the boy wonder we have had the bug through the airport and when we go to the gate, they checked it in there. Last time we flew we brought him on in the car seat, but now he is too big for it. With the Bug, since its in two pieces my advice would be to pack the bassinnet/seat in a duffel bag and use the car seat adaptors with the car seat, my worry was that because its in two pieces, it will be easier to damage.

Re: Travel question...on the plane
I travel a lot with my daughter and since she was 4 months old. I have always on several different airlines when I did not purchase a seat for her would wheel the stroller and carseat up to the gate and check it there. Airlines don't care and will do it for you. Just always double check when checking prior to the gate.

Re: Travel question...on the plane
There's also the Sit 'n Stroll. It's a carseat/stroller that you can take on the plane with you and use if you purchased a seat for your DC.

Re: Travel question...on the plane
You wheel the stroller to the gate and check it at the gate before you get on the plane and they have it waiting for you when you get off. Usually if the flight isn't full they will let you bring a car seat on for the baby. We have done this and also checked the car seat at the gate as well when the flight was too full. HTH.

Re: Travel question...on the plane
When I flew to NY in April they didn't have my stroller waiting for me...I had to carry the kid in the baby carrier and my carry on bags all the way to customs all by myself!!! Then I got my stroller once I got through the baggage check!

Re: Travel question...on the plane
I have always bought a seat, but I'm sure they would check it with the strollers at the jetway no problem.
Racheee, sorry that you didn't get it right away - that seems strange!

Re: Travel question...on the plane
I also checked my stroller at the gate when I boarded. When Jordana outgrows her carseat we are planning on putting her in the bjorn for the flight for as long as we can. When she outgrows the bjorn, I guess we'll buy her a seat.
