traveling with infant and toddler... questions
Been away to Aruba twice with DS1. He's 2 1/2 now. Easy with just one.
Now, we are going to Florida the end of this month so the baby will be 6 months and next month to Aruba when the baby is 7 months
I pretty much know what to pack since I made a list in another post. LOL!
Just some travel questions about carseats and strollers for Florida.
Easier to bring double or have 2 separate umbrella strollers for vacation?
We have a portable PnP for the baby, but where to put the toddler to sleep in Aruba since he just started in a bed? We have a timeshare in Aruba so they don't have a double bed and I'm afraid of putting him in the pull out. He could fall off in the middle of the night AND we want to put the boys to sleep some nights and then sit on the deck to relax with a drink. I would put the baby in a crib that the timeshare provides, but what about my toddler?
Planning on taking carseats to Florida. Where can I put the infant carseat? My toddler's carseat will be strapped in his seat on the plane and we'll take turns with the baby. Not bringing carseats to Aruba since we know a taxi service that has it so really only need good strollers.
Any other advise? Thanks!

Re: traveling with infant and toddler... questions
does there happen to be a pull-out couch? The reason I say this is because Liam slept on that on our cruise. Its lower to the ground than a regular bed and may work. I think he would be fine. Liam was 2.5 and did great.

Yes, in Aruba there is a pull out. Only problem is it's in the den since it's a 1 bedroom timeshare. Tile floor so I'm afraid if he falls it's on tile Oh, and we were trying to figure out where to put him b/c maybe we'd put him to sleep in our room. Like a blow up or something on the floor so DH and I can hang out in the den area. They both go to sleep pretty early. I can't sit in the room at 8PM if my toddler is in the den if that makes sense.
Last year he was in a crib. I was prego with DS2, but we had dinner in the den and DH would have a drink or something.

Gate check the infant car seat. We flew last week and saw a couple with an infant and they gate-checked the car seat and checked the base with the baggage so that came around the baggage carousel. I guess so they wouldn't have to worry about losing it?

We used to gate check the infant seat. If you don't need it in the airport though - you can leave it with your luggage (some people advise against it but,w e had a good experience with our convertible).
Could you request a fold up bed for Aruba. I think most timeshares offer that as an option.
