treadmill recs

So after posting I was getting back to running I made it to the gym once. DH has been pestering me for a treadmill so I think we are going to get one.

any recs? would like to stay under 1k.

I have a proform which is made from the same parts as a nordic track. Proform is not exactly a top of the line tm, but we ended up getting one of their best models for $899 last year, no tax, free shipping. I love having one. I did not want to spend over $1,000 either, so I think we got a great buy for the money.

It's called the Power 995. It retailed much higher, we got really lucky. A couple of days later, they raised the price again. It has a longer running deck than most (60 in. compared to 55 on most) so I like that too, since I run on it. Here is the link - on proform, it says sold out and shows it at $1,999, but other sites have it for $999. Just a tip, I remember when we were shopping, someone said if you're running on it, you should look for a tm with a CHP (continuous motor) of 2.5 minimum.

i have a proform as well. i am not sure what model but it was around $800 and i have had it for 2 years now and so far no problems!

I have a ProForm. We bought it about 5 years ago. I don't remember if it was the floor sample, or if it had been discontinued, or a refurb or what, but it was a more expensive model, which we paid about $550 for. No complaints.
