Re: Treadmills

i've heard that, for weight loss and overall cardio health, ellipticals are the best way to go and the best thing to invest in. i have trouble with treadmills b/c they hurt my knees a lot - and my dr. recommended an elliptical b/c he said it burns more calories in less time but more importantly - much less resistance. they are low impact so it is better for you body, joints, muscles, etc. i don't think treadmills are "bad" for you but if you are going to invest in just one machine and are looking to lose weight - from personal experience i could safely say you are better off with the elliptical... they are about the same amount of money which is good.

either way though - getting in shape is a great thing Chat Icon Chat Icon good luck - i've heard pro form is a really good company - i have an elliptical and that is the name of it - they make treadmills too - all sorts of equip.

Re: Treadmills

I have a Proform. We bought it from Sears and spent very little. That being said, it's not made the best, and the belt is coming off and it feels like it is going to break when you go too fast on it.

The more you spend, the better quality you will get.
