tree house???

i have a 12-yo son. we were lucky enough to buy a house across the street from a friend of his. there are other kids in the neighborhood.

i dream of being the house where all the kids want to hang out... i was looking at my yard this morning and saw a tree that would be perfect for a tree house!!

but i have no idea where to go from here! does anyone have any tips/ideas? i'm not going to ask for recons unless you're in central jersey.

Re: tree house???

Try visiting Home Depot/Lowes, etc - they sometimes have kits for these things to build - or can offer suggestions on how/where to build.

Re: tree house???

my dad built us a tree house in one of our trees when we were little

I don't think you have to go crazy expensive -
I think my dad just bought some wood planks from Home Depot

And we loved it!

I love the kitchen! and the little stone pathway leading up to the house...

can you imagine if that was your playhouse as a kid!
