Trees needing to be trimmed or chopped down on NY STate property...who do I call?
There is a tree on state property that is dead and hanging over our pool. Who do we call?

I'd start out with the Dept of Transportation if it's a tree that's on a road.

good luck with this. we have been calling 311 about a tree with dead branches that keep falling on the road/cars/passersby randomly and the NEVER come by to check out the tree. in 10 years, twice they came and said they would send someone to chop down the dead branches and they never did. those same branches later fell and caused massive destruction to parked cars and an innocent person just walking by.
