trends that don't work with my body
so I am so sad bc I been trying to find a pair of rip off boyfriend jeans to wear on weekends, I love the look and the pants look comfortable but I had tried 20+ pair fo jeans and they all look soooo weird on me. rrrghhh. Also I am trying to find a pair of plaid shirt to go with leggins but all the shirts look like I am wearing DH's work shirts. I am DD so for the shirt to fit on the boobs it look huge on my back or belly area. So please if you have similar problem please share with me so I dont feel like I have a out of space body shape lol or if you have any reccomendation also please post..

Re: trends that don't work with my body
Since I am over weight I know what kind of clothing flatters my body...sometimes even having some things tailored may help a lot especially button down shirts... Some trends like skinny jeans, or those tent looking dresses do not look good on me as much as I love them I just cant do it...not all trends look good on everyone.
If your wearing baggy jeans then maybe a more fitted top would better...If you wear baggy jeans and baggy shirt it would just look frumpy. Adding Accessories help as well to pull the whole look together.

Re: trends that don't work with my body
I tried on numerous pair of boyfriend jeans and was having the same problem as you. I stumbled across a pair from Old Navy of all places and I LIVE IN THEM. They fit me perfectly. They have the right amounth of baggy-ness that show their the boyfriend style, but you can still see my shape (ie.. my azz) in them.
As for button downs... I find that the gap is a good go-to for shapelier button downs. I have big boobs too and I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll never be able to wear a button down without a cami or something underneath it.

I have to tell you- a LOT of trends don't work on me either. In fact- I don't think they MAKE a pair of jeans on this good green earth that fit me right. I have all but given up!!!

I'm with you on that. I have 3 pairs of jeans. One a little snug..do nothing for my flat azz. Two a size bigger and do nothing at all for anything but they fit in my waist.
I'm thick around the middle and have no butt and big boobs.
Forget button downs..I don't own any.
Frustrating!!

Re: trends that don't work with my body
thanks ladies... I am going to check ON and Gap and see if I have better luck with both shirt and jeans.. I think is the fact that I went 2 sizes in the past 1 1/2 and I feel like my body is all over the place...

NY & Co. button downs fit me very well but they are a little long, so you have to try them on to see if you like that kind of style

Re: trends that don't work with my body
Call Macy's by appointment and see the personal shopper. It is a free service I did once and it was great. She brings you lots of things in your size and helps you pick out things that look good. She will also bring you things to flatter your body and things you probably wouldn't pick out for yourself. You don't have to buy anything, but it's worth a shot to try.
