Re: Tribeca Film Festival
Has anyone heard about the concert yet this year? They do a free concert every year. I went a few years ago by myself and had a blast! You just have to find out when they are giving away tickets.

Yeah that's the show I went to! It was awesome! Norah Jones, The Roots, Robbie Williams, Jewel, and Sean Paul!

Re: Tribeca Film Festival
I've always wanted to go - but just wrangled my way out of a co-worker invite - uptown, late on a thursday..yuck. Plus she's a little insane. I'd rather hit a downtown/midtown one.
I was surprised that they've chosen Mission Impossible III to premiere there, anyone else??

I just saw that in Newsday, and Posiden is also part of it. I always thought it was for the smaller indie films?
I have never gone, but am intrigued and always think I will get there eventually.

Re: Tribeca Film Festival
I would like to see:
Saint of 9/11 [Feature] - NY, NY Documentary Feature (2006, 90 min) A loving tribute to Fire Department Chaplain Father Mychal Judge: parish priest, streetwise New Yorker, recovering alcoholic, and proud homosexual who gave his life on September 11 after administering last rites to a fallen firefighter. Narrarated by Ian McKellen.
Colour Me Kubrick Int'l Narrative Competition [COLOU] 2005 87 min Toward the end of his life, Stanley Kubrick found himself increasingly vexed by the antics of an impostor who cut a swath through London, passing himself off as the acclaimed director. John Malkovich stars as Alan Conway, the imposter.

Ahh, ok--now I dont' feel like I missed out when I worked closer to 34th street--I am downtown now, but not much is actually in Tribeca. There are a few things at Battery Park Cinemas, but I know that is really clsoe to me, yet I have never seen it. Does anyone know where it is?
