Trick or Treat?

Treat!!!

Liam Patrick was born on 10/31/10. DH, DD & I are so happy!

Our little guys timing couldn't be better. I stopped working on Friday, took DD to our village Halloween party on Friday night, went to a wedding Saturday (got home at midnight) and went into labor at 4am.

My overall labor and delivery experience this time was so much better. I guess keeping active and this being my second time around really sped things up.

I started feeling pain around 4am Sunday morning but didn't realize they were real contractions at first. By 7am they were 5 min apart so I knew it was show time. DH's cousin picked up DD and off we went to Winthrop.

I got there at 8am, got my epidural at 10am and Liam came into the world at 2:07pm. I was 4cm when we got there and progressed fast. Once I got the epidural I felt great. I think I pushed for less than an hour. All of the nurses at Winthrop were great. Delivery to recovery.

As I posted before, they are expanding the maternity floor and are trying to keep the rooms private unless they absolutely have to double up. Having a room (and bathroom) to yourself just makes it so much easier.

Liam is doing great! Big sister Michaela is in love with him. DH & I just feel so blessed.

Congrats! I just had a Liam too!! (On 11/3! I'm jealous you had a private room at Winthrop. I didn't-it was packed by the time I got there!) Sounds like you had a great birth experience. Congrats again.
