tricks/tips for mealtime needed!
I posted about this before, my 14mo DD loves to throw her food on the floor.
We've tried: -taking the food away & giving it back in small amounts -taking food away & no more food -giving her small amounts -using utensils -time outs during meals -telling her we don't throw food each time she does
DH & I are at a loss. Has anyone tried anything else that works? I read somewhere about feeding them on the floor but we have a dog and I like the idea of eating dinner as a family at the table.
Should I get her her own little table? She does it out too, in booster seats so I don't *think* she's ready to retire the highchair.
She does it at every meal, no matter if she loves the food or not(which is rare).
TIA!!!

Re: tricks/tips for mealtime needed!
My DS is 2 and still tends to throw his food.
I would cut up her food, and just place a few bites on her tray (assuming she is in a high chair). As she finishes, place 2-3 more. I wouldn't do time out for her since she is young, and then you're interrupting meal time.
My DS is older, so I take it all away and tell him he can have it when he is ready to stop throwing. I find what works in most scenarios is to keep your cool!

maybe you're right, she's doing it for the attention (which is wierd since i'm usually sitting right there eating as well). maybe i will just ignore it and see if that makes a difference.
thanks!
